Reading the Qur'an frequently is a recommended act, as the reader will receive ten rewards for each letter. This is evident from the saying of the Prophet (saw): "Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will have a reward, and the reward will be multiplied tenfold. I do not say that Alif-Lam-Mim is a letter, but Alif is a letter, Mîm is a letter, and Lam is a letter" (At-Tirmidhi, sahih after Al-Albani).
